On behalf of New England, we would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding this afternoon. Play was officially suspended for the day at 3:20 p.m. Below is a summary of the remaining schedule of events for tomorrow – Wednesday, July 17th - and through Thursday, July 18th at Portland Country Club.
Please note that the event has been officially reduced to a 54-hole event. We will complete Round 1 and Round 2 on Wednesday and Thursday morning. Immediately following the conclusion of Round 2, the field will be reduced to the low 40 scorers and ties. Those competitors will be repaired by score and assigned starting times for Round 3 which will commence on Thursday afternoon.
Here is a summary for each round of competition.
ROUND 1 ->> July 17
Round 1 will resume at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 18. The driving range will be open at 6:00 a.m.
Players Who Have Started Round 1 (original AM wave): Will resume play beginning at 7:30 p.m. Those players should plan to meet on the putting green at 7:00 a.m. for announcements/instructions and the redistribution of scorecards. Players will then be shuttled/driven out for play. The air horn will then be blown (two short blast repeated) at 7:30 a.m. once everyone is in position to signal the resumption of play. New England rules officials and club staff will assist in shuttling players to their positions; those carts will be organized by hole and staged by the pro shop.
Players Who Have Not Started Round 1 (original PM wave): Have been assigned new starting times beginning at 7:30 a.m. from the 1st and 10th tees. To locate your NEW round 1 time, select the drop down option for “Round 1 A”. Use the below link to go directly to the starting times page.
