August 12-14, 2018

Format: Invitational event, where seven (7) junior golfers from each of the New England state golf associations are selected to compete in a 54 hole team and individual stroke play competition. Selection criteria is determined by each state golf association. Team scores are calculated by taking the best 5 out of 7 scores each day. Low 54 hole team score will be named the team champion. Low 54 individual will be named the individual champion.
Schedule:
Day 1 - Practice round and dinner
Day 2 - Morning shotgun, lunch, afternoon shotgun, followed by dinner
Day 3 - Morning shotgun, followed by lunch and awards
Junior Golf Hub: New for 2018, Junior Golf Hub will be present at the championship to help inform players and parents about the college golf recruiting process and their services to help young golfers receive recognition from all levels of college golf programs across the country. Parents will be encourage to attend an informational session lead by Junior Golf Hub staff on Sunday, August 12th at 1:00 pm. Junior Golf Hub will be on site throughout the remainder of the event to answer individual questions from parents and players.

WAGR Counting Event: The World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR), which comprises a women’s ranking and a men’s ranking for elite amateur players, is offered by The R&A and the USGA as a global service to golf. WAGR is updated every Wednesday on www.wagr.com and is available to national federations and organizers of amateur and professional events and tours for purposes of offering exemptions, selecting national teams and assembling Orders of Merit. WAGR currently incorporates over 4,000 events with over 10,000 players and endeavors to be the most comprehensive and accurate ranking in golf by effectively comparing players from around the world who may never directly compete against one another.
AJGA PBE Status: The American Junior Golf Association will be awarding the runner-up through 5th place finishers (and ties) with 1 performance based star. The champion will receive 4 stars.
