New England Golf Association (NEGA) Announces Expansion of Partnership With Prize Possessions
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
NORTON, Massachusetts – The New England Golf Association (NEGA) is happy to announce that it has expanded its long-standing partnership with Prize Possessions, a 1977 industrial leadership company of awards and recognition items.
Prize Possessions has been the exclusive provider of trophies for the New England Junior Amateur Invitational. Beginning in 2018, the Norwood-based company will begin providing awards for all three of its events which includes the New England Amateur Championship and New England Senior Amateur Championship.
“We have been fortunate to work with Prize Possessions for more than three decades, and we could not be happier with our decision to further grow the relationship,” said Harry McCracken, NEGA’s executive-secretary. “The quality of product and exceptional customer service has been second to none.”
Established in 1926, the NEGA is a 501(c)3 amateur golf organization comprised of leaders from the six New England golf associations – Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Each of its championship events are held on a rotating basis at golf clubs located at one of the six New England member state associations. Prize Possessions, which began its partnership with the NEGA nearly 35 years ago, is responsible for producing the trophies that are awarded at each championship event which will be held this season at Longmeadow CC (MA), Portland CC (ME), and Burlington CC (VT).
“Harry McCracken has been a great friend to me personally and to Prize Possessions,” said James Lynch, vice president of Prize Possessions who like McCracken is a member of Charles River Country Club. “We have enjoyed being a part of New England Junior Amateur event and now look forward to supporting and working with all three major championships which are considered the most competitive in this region.”
In addition to the awards that are created for NEGA Championships, Prize Possessions also offers a range of high-quality personalized awards and gifts that are widely used at golf course events as well as at corporate and community outings and functions.
“Growing our partnerships is a priority of us,” said Laura Nochta, who serves as Mass Golf’s Manager of NEGA Operations & USGA Qualifying. “The response that we receive from competitors on site has always been overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to continuing and growing this relationship through player gifts and additional awards.”
