20 Advance from Riverside GC (ME) New England Senior Qualifier
PORTLAND, ME – The final qualifier for the 2019 New England Senior Amateur Championship wrapped up at Riverside GC today, with 20 players booking their tickets to the championship proper next month. In all, 55 players were on the tee sheet vying for 18 available spots at Biddeford-Saco CC on September 18-19.

Danny Brown (MA) of Vesper CC led all scorers at today’s event, making five birdies against three bogeys at Riverside to shoot the only round under par of the day. His round of 70 (-2) bettered Richard Fosler (MA) of Tedesco CC by two strokes. Three players, including Maine’s Keith Patterson, rounded out the top five with a score of 73 (+1). The cut for this qualifier fell at 77.
Seven Maine golfers advanced from today’s qualifier to earn their spot in the field at next month’s championship.
