Kearney and Murphy Lead After Round 1
SACO, Maine- Round 1 of the 22nd hosting of the New England Senior Amateur Championship was contested at Biddeford-Saco Country Club on Tuesday. Located east of Old Orchard Beach in Saco, the 18-Hole Donald Ross designed course seemed to be a challenging assessment for the field of 119 competitors, as two lone players posted a score under par, on this blustery day in Saco, Maine.

Bob Kearney (The Shattuck GC – NH) led the field on the day, with a score of 2-under par 69. The former 2015 top-ranked senior amateur golfer in the country, did not hesitate during his round today, as he quickly birdied his first hole on the day.
Kearney would go on to score a total of six pars, an additional birdie, and just one bogy on the front nine to put him at 1-under par at the turn. Kearney would continue his momentum going into the back nine, as he would birdie holes twelve and fourteen. By shooting a 2-under par round of 69, Kearney has earned himself a starting tee time for Round 2 at 1:45 PM off the first tee.
Super Senior Division
