Champions the 2016 New England Junior Amateur Invitational
The seven-person team from Massachusetts entered the final day of the 2016 New England Junior Amateur Invitational at Cochecho Country Club with a 25-stroke lead. On Wednesday, the Bay State squad showed no let up and played solidly as the team captured its 14th title since 1967 and its third in four years, after shooting a combined 3-under in the best five-of-seven format to finish at 1,047 in 54 holes of play.
In addition to a team champion, the event also recognizes the individual player who finishes with the lowest score. While Team Massachusetts had six of its seven players in the top-10 for individual scores, it was Maine’s Cole Anderson who claimed individual medalist honors. Read More | Photo Gallery
