NORTON, Massachusetts – The NEGA Junior Amateur Championship presented by Junior Golf Hub, originally slated to be played on Aug. 11-12 at Ledgemont CC in Seekonk, MA (hosted by Rhode Island Golf Association) has been canceled due to the current guidelines in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Norton, MA - After a review of previous Championships including feedback from competitors, the NEGA has announced a slate of changes to the format, registration process, and awarding of prizes for the New England Women's Amateur Championship. The changes will go into effect at this year’s event being hosted at North Conway Country Club in New Hampshire
This past month, two long time New England Golf Association rules officials, were given awards respectively within their home state golf associations. Mike Pearce (Maine State Golf Association) was presented the Dave Child Volunteer of the Year Award on October 30th and Joe Kane (New Hampshire Golf Association) was awarded the Inaugural Joe Kane Distinguished Service award on October 17th.

NORTON, Massachusetts - The New England Women’s Golf Association formally announces that their Women’s Championship will be managed and operated by the New England Golf Association beginning in 2020. Norton, MA – Beginning in 2019, the New England Golf Association (NEGA) will introduce a girls’ component to the New England Junior Amateur Invitational. It marks the first time in the association’s 92-year history that teams of female junior competitors will have a chance to compete for a New England team title.
